This project was developed by me and team, Eunoia Filmes, as part of our fourth semester Capstone project. The year was 2021, this was our first shoot together since college started opening again after quarantine for the COVID-19 pandemic. We wanted to tell a queer love story, as it felt it was representative of most of team was comprised of members of the LGBTQ+ community.
In “O Segundo Despertar” (translates to: “The Second Awakening“), Chico wakes up in his best friend’s bed. After noticing last night’s shirt all puked up, he starts to trace his steps back into figuring out what happened with him and now stranged friend, Thiago.
This short was my first attempt at working with Adobe After Effects, as well as our leads Gabriel and Duckye’s first acting experience. Later on, we also had actress Liz Vernin work again with Eunoia Filmes as our lead in “Isso não é uma História de Amor“.
